New Year + New Mindset = Better Results

“Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth.”
– Proverbs 10:4

2025 is here.
It is time to get your mind right.
It is time to get refocused.
It is time to become persistent.
It is time be consistent.
We cannot be lazy if we want to see progress in our lives.

Don’t expect that promotion at work if you’re doing the bare minimum. They hired you for your current position based on you being able to do the bare minimum requirements. If you want to ascend to the next level, you have to do next level work.

If you want your business to grow above and beyond where it was in 2024, you will need to put in the work. If you continue with the same efforts of 2024, you cannot expect to exceed 2024’s results.

Let’s feel better physically and mentally this year.
There are 1,440 minutes in a day.
Add 30-45 minutes per day on your calendar to get exercise.
Don’t over-complicate exercise:
1. 30 minute walk outside, treadmill, or mall/grocery store
2. 30 minutes of a few sets of 3-10 pushups
3. 30 minutes of a few sets of 3-10 body weight air squats
4. 30 minutes of jump rope
5. 30 minutes swimming in the pool
6. If finances permit, go to the gym and take a class for 30 minutes

Doing a little exercise will add up to make a big difference.
This will make your doctor happy, your family happy, but more importantly, it will make you happy.
* PLEASE consult your doctor prior to any changes in your current exercise routine.
We, here at the Bread and Fish Company, are not doctors, nor do we play doctors on tv!

Do you want to strengthen your relationships with your friends, your family, your kids, your spouse, with God? You are going to have to set aside time and dedicate focused energy to build and reinforce those bonds:
1. Once per week send this text message to a different friend “I’m just checking in to make sure you’re okay. What’s new since we last talked?”
2. Once per month meet a different friend or family member for a lunch.
End the meeting with a quick “Thank you God for allowing us this opportunity to get together today. I ask that you keep us until we meet again. Amen”
3. Once or twice per month have a game night with your kids.
End the game night with a quick “Thank you God for allowing us this opportunity to get play together. I ask that you keep us until we play again. Amen”
4. Once per month take your spouse or significant other to dinner, or a movie, or dancing, or painting, or couples spa treatment, or even just a walk in the park, or whatever else gets you out of the house.
End the meeting with a quick “Thank you God for allowing us this opportunity to get together today. I ask that you keep us until we meet again. Amen”
5. When you first wake up in the morning, thank God for allowing you to see a new day, read a bible verse, and then ask God to guide your steps for the day.
Although, I don’t really condone using your phone when you first wake up in the morning, however, if it helps you to get your bible verse, then make it so.
You can go to the “Verse of the Day” website https://www.verseoftheday.com/ and get a verse of the day from there.

Not if, but when obstacles present themselves, stay persistent. Do not give up.
No matter how many times you fall down, get right back up.
There are 365 days in a year. That means that there are 365 new opportunities to do better, be better, and feel better.
Being consistent in your pursuit to improve your life (financial, relationships, health, mental, spiritual, etc) is the key to accomplishing your goals.
